Meet Pamela!! Are y’all ready for another spotlight feature on our freecoat blog?! This week we are showcasing one of our first clients, Pamela Grant!
I’m a military brat but Odenton, MD is home for me. Although Maryland is where I call home, I guess you could say SC is my second home as I spent a lot of time here as a child in my mother’s hometown; Hampton, SC. I moved to Charleston back in 2015 and I simply adore this area and the many gems it withholds. I work for a logistics company in Mount Pleasant as an account manager for many companies such as Marley Lilly, LG Interiors and more. When I’m not working, you can usually find me tending to my two children or managing things within my wine group; @3WCharleston.
I work in Mount Pleasant not too far from Freecoat. One day while out on my lunch break, freecoat’s store front caught my eye. I immediately took out my iPhone and started searching Google to learn more.
My first visit to freecoat completely won me over. The décor is so eye catching and calming. It’s like you’re walking into a bit of paradise. From the moment I walked in the customer service was A1. Everyone was so welcoming and helpful. Unlike some nail salons I’ve been to in the past, time didn’t drag by before I was assisted. Let’s not forget the rose they offer while you’re there for your service(s). The only nail salon I’ve attended that didn’t have the smell of chemicals in the air, which makes it a perfect spot for mother + daughter mani dates with my mini me.
For happy hour you can find me downtown at The Rarebit or at Uncork Charleston. If you’re a mule or a wine person like I am, then you’ll enjoy both locations. During the summertime Uptown Social is my go to. Happy hour on the rooftop, perfect!
When it comes to my nails I like to keep it simple with a little spice! Neutral colors are my go to. Usually a nude, or an olive, with a little nail art to spice it up a bit. When I’m feeling fancy, I love a red!
I never gave much thought about the clean beauty industry until freecoat came into my life. I would just buy products that seemed to be good/popular and carry on with my day. I found out about an app called ThinkDirty. This app breaks down many of the products in your bathroom based on how “clean” the products are an the chemicals contained. This has helps me tremendously when it comes to picking out products not only for myself, but also for my children.
There’s an influencer by the name of Mia Ray who I have admired for years. I’ve picked up many tips from her such as parenting, money saving, organizational and much more. The knowledge that she shares has helped not only myself but also many other women become entrepreneurs and more financially secure.
